New, innovative products and processes are no longer conceivable without the use of advanced high-tech materials and corresponding manufacturing methods. Nanotechnologies play a key role in this. They not only allow for a deeper understanding of material properties but also enable their precise control. Through structuring and modifications down to atomic scales, they unlock entirely new, previously unattainable material properties and products. However, access to the knowledge surrounding these fascinating new materials and methods must still become more accessible.

To further intensify and simplify knowledge and technology transfer in the fields of nanotechnology and advanced materials, the Hightech Zentrum Aargau (HTZ) launched the national, neutral community platform nano.swiss in February 2019.
The platform provides a clear overview of the relevant Swiss institutes and networks in the nano and materials sectors. A structured search function allows interested companies, even without prior knowledge, to access existing knowledge and connect with partners from the "Nano-Community."
In addition, nano.swiss offers news from the national and international nano community, provides an overview of relevant events, and publishes a quarterly newsletter on current materials and nanotechnology topics.
